If you own an Apple TV and have thus far resisted the urge to dive into Netflix's Marvel Universe, you now have a perfect excuse to give it a chance, and just in time for the holiday season.

The acclaimed first season of Jessica Jones is now available on iTunes, and since you've most likely got some additional days off over the next few weeks, you can binge on the show's 13 episodes in no time. Jessica Jones also builds the foundation for the recently released Luke Cage, so if you plan on giving that a watch you'll want to give some time to Jones first.

Plus, you'll then be ahead of the game for the second season of Jessica Jones, which doesn't have a release date yet but will likely be coming sometime in 2017 or early 2018. You can view the season on the iTunes store here, and it will cost you $29.99.

Jones will next be seen in Marvel's big team-up series The Defenders, which will bring Jones (Krysten Ritter), Luke Cage (Mike Colter), Daredevil (Charlie Cox), and Iron Fist (Finn Jones) together to face the combined forces of The Hand. The show will also bring plenty of supporting characters from all four shows together, and will likely add a few to the mix as well.

Other characters making an appearance include Trish Walker (Rachel Taylor), Malcolm (Eka Darville), Jeri Hogarth (Carrie-Ann Moss), Claire Temple (Rosario Dawson), Misty Knight (Simone Missick), Foggy Nelson (Elden Henson), Karen Page (Deborah Ann Woll), and more than likely the Punisher (Jon Bernthal).

Daredevil seasons 1 and 2, Jessica Jones season 1, and Luke Cage season 1 are all available on Netflix. Iron Fist will premiere on March 17, 2017. The Defenders expected later in the year. The Punisher, Daredevil season 3, and Jessica Jones season 2 do not have release dates yet.
