FX's X-Men TV series Legion is an odd duck, as Fargo showrunner Noah Hawley has put together a show that has confused fans as much as it has intrigued them. Every new Legion promo contains some form of imagery or scene work that raises question about the show's handling of X-Men mythology - as well its place in the Marvel/X-Men movie and/or TV universes.
The latest teaser promo for Legion is called "Sunset." It uses the idea of the show's protagonist, David Haller (Dan Stevens) meeting a woman for a romantic sundown rendezvous as a possible metaphor for how David - an all-powerful mutant with multiple personalities and powers to go with them - accesses his pyrokinetic powers.
In X-Men comics, David Haller/Legion has a multitude of powers - including pyrokinesis (create fire with your mind), which is the manifested power of David's "Cyndi" personality, a rebellious girl who may be represented much the same way in the show, if this teaser is any indication.
Come February, we will be on top of everything Legion, with live recaps and plenty more. For all things Legion, keep it right here on ComicBook.com!
