Logan: Three New TV Spots Give Us More X-23 and Wolverine Action
Logan is on the way in just three weeks, and that means the promotional blitz is entering [...]
Spot #4: The Girl
The first, "The Girl," sounds like it'd be focused on X-23, and it does show her in action a bit more; it also shows the Reavers with their awesome cybernetics, as well.
"You don't mess with family" is the message of this one, really playing up the personal connection between Logan and his clone "daughter" X-23. We don't get a lot of legacy in comicbook movies, surprisingly, but it looks like it'll be a focus here.
prevnextSpot #5: It's Time
Spot #5 is mostly just music, and it's brutal. It also seems to put the weight of the mutant race on Logan and X-23's shoulders. "Sometimes saving one can save them all." That's heavy. The way the action plays out to a simple drum beat and a tone rising in volume and pitch is pretty awesome - kind of makes us want to be able to watch the whole movie with just soundtrack.
prevnextSpot #6
Finally, we get a spot from East Asia, where they'll get the film a few days before the U.S. This one is set to Johnny Cash's "Hurt" cover and almost entirely pulls from the first trailer, though that shot of them jumping off a roof is different. It sure looks like a lot of this movie will be chase scenes, which in a post Mad Max: Fury Road world is a tall order.
Stay tuned to ComicBook.com for much more from Logan as the weeks progress and the release date approaches.
