Speaking to a group of press in the Marvel Studios offices, President of Marvel Studios Kevin Feige confirmed Marshall-Green’s role in the upcoming film which is a joint production with Sony Pictures.
Feige did allude to the possibility of other characters also possibly dubbing themselves as “Shocker.”
In footage from Spider-Man: Homecoming which was revealed during an Open House event on Monday, Marshall-Green and Donald Glover’s characters were seen operating some high-tech gadgets in their efforts to take on Spider-Man.
Marshall-Green’s Shocker chose to use Crossbones’ gauntlet which delivers an extra punch as his weapon why Glover’s still unnamed character used salvaged tech from an Ultron robot which was turned into a gun. Thus, Spider-Man: Homecoming is thoroughly tied into the most recent Avengers film with the Age of Ultron tech playing a significant role in the film.
