We already knew that Activision had some big plans for Call of Duty: WWII, with its multiplayer set-up ready to go on the show floor tomorrow, along other big reveals. But tonight, the game hit like a hammer when the publisher dropped a new batch of multiplayer footage for the game, showing us just what we can expect from the game when it arrives later this year.

First off, we've got a pretty good idea of the Divisions that will be available in the game, as well as the prestiges and ranks, and the astonishing amount of players that will be supported in a match. But that didn't prepare us for the sheer amount of content that the multiplayer footage included, as it really blew us away.

Though the trailer is a bit on the cinematic side, it does feature snippets of just how crazy multiplayer gets, as you see just how batsh*t insane it gets with firefights with several soldiers both on the ground and in the air. Yep, that crazy. You can see the trailer for yourself above.

There are plenty of great moments, including what appears to be aerial combat (this has yet to be confirmed, but hot damn if that's the case), as well as the ability to call in an old-school airstrike when the situation calls for it -- more than likely, this will be an added perk when you get enough kills. There are also plenty of old-school weapons going around, but judging by the level of chaos, you probably won't miss the high-end stuff from new Call of Duty games. In fact, fans will probably feel right at home with this one.

Keep in mind that the multiplayer portion of the game will be available in beta form, probably thirty days before the game releases – and possibly sooner. Whatever the case, we're excited to get our hands on it and tear into some enemy soldiers! Judging by what we've seen in the trailer, we're in for something quite good.

Call of Duty: WWII will release on November 3rd for PlayStation 4, as well as Xbox One and PC.
