Godzilla Just Announced Its Adorable Hello Kitty Collaboration

What happens when Sanrio's Hello Kitty meets Japan's iconic Godzilla? You get monster cuteness!

To commemorate Polygon Pictures' upcoming three-film franchise project Godzilla: Monster Planet, Sanrio is pairing Hello Kitty and three of its other popular characters with Japan's most famous monster.

The Sanrio/Godzilla collaboration, set for some time this fall, will feature Godzilla hanging out with Hello Kitty, My Melody, Pompompurin, and Little Twin Stars. The individual pairings will see the iconic kaiju imagined in each Sanrio character's signature style. When paired with Hello Kitty, Godzilla dons the her iconic red bow while the other pairings see the monster decked out with Little Twin Stars stars and clouds, Pompompurin's beret, and My Melody's ribbons.

More details about the adorable collaboration are still on the way, but the first wave of Sanrio/Godzilla items will first be made available on the official online Godzilla Store before being offered online and in retail stores across Japan.

Godzilla: Monster Planet is set to debut on Netflix in the United States this November.
