Mrs. Ackles has arrived to Supernatural!
Earlier this month, it was revealed that Danneel Ackles, wife of series star Jensen Ackles, would be taking on a recurring role in the second half of Season 13. The actress was cast as a character named Sisiter Jo, "a well-known faith healer whose good works attract the attention of someone very, very bad: Lucifer (Mark Pellegrino)."
Danneel's debut on Supernatural won't take place until episode 13, but she and Jensen just couldn't wait to share their first day on set together with the fans. The actress took to Instagram with a throwback image from Day 1.
"TB to my first day on set of SPN," Danneel wrote to her fans on Instagram. "They take things very seriously here. More to come. #spnfamily"
The comment about taking things seriously was clearly a joke, given her husband's actions in the photo. As fans have come to expect, Jensen is acting goofy in the photo, while Danneel tries her best to take a normal picture.
Since that initial post, Danneel has shared a couple more photos from the Supernatural set in Vancouver. One sees the Ackles' trying a little too hard to wrap a Christmas present, while another features Danneel in the makeup chair before a shoot.
Supernatural returns to The CW on Thursday, January 18, 2018 at 8pm ET.
