Erza Scarlet

In the shonen series, characters like Natsu may get glory for their fiery magic, but Erza is no pushover. As one of the top mages in the Fairy Tail guild, Erza is renowned for her beauty and armory. With more than 200 weapons in town, Erza is the definition of an expert swordsman. Erza is a master tactician with a strict moral code – and the wizard will use all of her insane endurance to ensure her friends are safe.

Android 18

Dragon Ball Z may feature lots of beefy male character, but Android 18 can put plenty of them in her place. In fact, she already has. The rational, super-strong character shows up other female fighters in the series like Videl with ease. Created by Dr. Gero, Android 18 is one of several androids created specifically to take out Goku. The character has fought against Vegeta, Trunks, and even Goten – and she came out on the other side.

Sakura Haruno

There’s nothing anime fans like more than a comeback story, and Sakura Haruno has one in spades. The pink-haired ninja is one of the three heroes of Naruto, but fans were not too thrilled with her in the start. The little girl was too busy fawning over her crush to practice, but Sakura eventually made a stunning turnaround. After studying with Tsunade, Sakura became a ninja who surpassed her mentor to everyone’s shock. Even Kakashi admitted Sakura’s knack for genjutsu and taijutsu made her a superior warrior, and Sakura was not afraid to debut her earth-shattering strength in battle.
