4 Reasons You Should Be Watching Blue Exorcist

Blue Exorcist is currently airing its second season and if you are not currently watching it, or have never heard of it, it is a show that you need to be watching. This has all the makings of a classic, such as Naruto or Bleach and keeps audience coming back for more week by week.

The series revolves around Rin Okumura, a angsty teen who ends up discovering he and his twin brother Yukio are the sons of Satan. Rin also finds that he has inherited some of Satan’s powers. After Satan viciously kills their human father, Rin enrolls at True Cross Academy to become an exorcist in order to defeat Satan once and for all. The Characters

Arguably the best part of the show, Rin is the perfect main character, never too whiny or too cool just a confused teenager that is part demon. He is hillarious and you cant help but cheer him on as he struggles with his identity crisis. All of the other characters are charsimatic and funny in their own way. You have all the classic characters the nerd, the dumb hot chick, and the bully, but it is done right and you actually care about them.

The Art

The art is not anything revolutionary but the art in this . The action scenes are fluid and smooth and you can always tell whats going on in fights. Also the coloring is perfect, light when it needs to be and dark when it needs to be, and the colors always pop. Overall A-1 productions usually creates beautiful anime, and Blue Exorcist is no exception, just see for yourself.

The Battles

A part demon with a sword that when opened lights on blue fire and awakens the beast inside of him, if that doesn’t sound like a premise for awesome fight scenes, i don’t know what does… The battles in Blue Exorcist are great ranging from psychological battles with demons, to just good ol hack and slash from Rin and his katana. Regardless you are always sure for a thrill, and the show is full of fight scenes that leave you on the edge of your seat. 

The Funny Moments

Rin alone provides plenty of comedy that keeps the show staying fresh and fluid. But everyone on the show has some sort of funny quirk and it provides for so many funny hi jinks. Also the over the top reactions to the paranormal things happening always make me laugh. Overall this shows comedic undertones is what sets it apart and makes it the show that so many love.
