The Chinese animation industry has been on the rise for the past few years, and one of the most notable series is Link Click, which debuted in 2021. As an original story centering around heartbreaking mysteries, it didn’t take long for Link Click to gather a wide global fanbase. The story’s supernatural themes and the layers of mysteries often intrigue fans, especially since the story has taken a drastic turn in the second season. Following a cliffhanger ending in the Season 2 finale, a sequel season was confirmed.

Three years after the second season’s ending, the series finally returns with a new trailer for the third season’s first part. The trailer also revealed that the series will premiere on August 14th, 2026. The series was initially slated for October this year, but the release date has been surprisingly moved up. The official X handle of the anime dropped the trailer, shocking fans with the intense scenes as the situation takes an even darker turn.
What to Expect From Link Click Season 3?
Looking at the premise of the story, one would never be able to guess that itโs an unbelievably emotional story with high stakes and intense action. This mystery time-travel series centers around Xiaoshi Cheng and Guang Lu, who work in a small shop called โTime Photo Studio.โ While their work appears to be fairly simple on the surface, the shop also provides a special service that only a few are aware of.
In the second season, Xiaoshi and Guang got entangled in an incident with Li Tianchen, which was resolved during the finale. Time Photo Studio maintains its fragile peace, knowing things will soon take a turn for the worse. Their worst fears come true when Xia Fi disappears, forcing Xiaoshi and Guang to get mixed up in a series of incidents. The duo also uncovers the secrets of the Bahati fire case that’s connected to Xiahoshi’s father. The series will premiere on Crunchyroll, where you can also catch up with the previous seasons.
Why Is Link Click‘s Season 3 Trailer So Shocking?
It’s not the first glimpse at the upcoming season, but the latest highlights the true extent of the horror that Xiaoshi and Guang are facing. While Guang is hiding something from Xiaoshi in order to protect him, the latter is slowly breaking apart due to the burden of these mysterious incidents happening around them. The series hints at a major twist in the upcoming season that’s going to completely turn their lives upside down. So far, the donghua has only shared details on the first part of Season 3, but we can expect more updates by the end of the year.
