And, now, audiences have a better idea of when that date will be.
The folks behind the Digimon Adventure tri. project revealed the fifth film will hit theaters in 2017. The announcement also gave fans a tentative title for the feature. Digimon Adventure tri. Kyลsei was the name given to fans, and the subtitle translates to “union” or “symbiosis” in English.
The first Digimon Adventure tri. feature first hit theaters back in November 2015. The second installment was released last March before the third came in September. So far, it looks like two films a year has been the studio’s standard, so the sixth film is predicted to debut in early 2018.
If you are not familiar with the Digimon Adventure revival, then you have time to catch up. So far, four films from the new series have been released. The revival tells the story of Taichi after the DigiDestined leader reaches high school. Now separated from many of his friends, the boy lives a normal life until the Digital World reopens its doors once again.
