When it comes to nostalgia, there are few industries which capitalize on the phenomenon like anime. The booming market made its first big dip into the U.S. back in the ’90s when series like Dragon Ball Z, Sailor Moon, and Digimon were brought abroad. Now, studios are bringing back those franchises for reboots and sequels, giving fans the chance to meet back up with characters they once idolized. In just a few weeks, Digimon fans will be able to catch up with Tai and the rest of the DigiDestined when Shout Factory brings part of the franchise’s new anime film series to Blu-ray and DVD.
