Fans have been eagerly anticipating Episode 122 of Dragon Ball Super ever since it was teased that Vegeta was going to make a major push against Jiren. Couple that with how amazingly animated the preview looked as well as the week break for the holiday, and fans were ready and waiting to watch.

Unfortunately, getting the episode off the ground proved troublesome for a number of Dragon Ball fans:

Given the higher amount of anticipation, fans were joking about whether or not Crunchyroll expected the higher amount of viewers trying to watch the episode at the same time:

Though Vegeta really stole the show for lots of fans:
Vegeta easily proved his worth in this episode. Although he failed, he didn’t give up. He stood back up and continued to fight. Thats what a man does when the chips are down. #Respect #DragonBallSuper

You got to give huge props to Vegeta for landing to a few solid hits to Jiren, making Jiren fight more seriously compared to when even Jiren 1st fought Son Goku’s Ultra Instinct form, where Jiren is noticeably toying w/ Goku. Vegeta surpassed our expectations. #dragonballsuper

But even with as impressive as Vegeta was in this episode, after the next episode teased a newer form of Super Saiyan Blue for Vegeta, fans are far more excited to see what could come next!

Dragon Ball Super‘s “Universal Survival” arc is part of the recent simulcast agreement that sites like Crunchyroll and Funimation have scored. DragonBall Super airs on Crunchyroll Saturday evenings at 7:15 p.m. CST. Adult Swim airs the English dub during its Toonami block Saturday evenings at 9:30 p.m, and is now available to stream on FunimationNOW and Amazon Video.
There is also currently a new Dragon Ball film in the works for 2018. The film will focus on the Saiyans, the “origins of Goku‘s power,” and potentially the story of the very first Super Saiyan God. Not only does it aim to be the best film in the series, original creator Akira Toriyama will be contributing to the film’s script and new character designs.
