If you are one of the thousands waiting for Godzilla to make his anime debut, then your wait will be over shortly. Despite being an icon for years, Godzilla has yet to star in a standalone anime, but director Kobun Shizuno is changing that. The creator and his team are set to debut a 3DCG anime film about Godzilla later this year. And, now, another set of concept art for the project has been released.

UP NEXT: Godzilla Anime Movie Announced for 2017

With AnimeJapan 2017 around the corner, the official Twitter page of the Godzilla anime film shared some artwork to honor the event. The art depicts the internal structure of a high-tech hangar filled with mecha. Figures can be seen attending to the floating ships, and the craft itself should look familiar to Godzilla fans. The vehicle looks similar to the anti-Godzilla vehicles shown in films like The Return of Godzilla.

Earlier this year, the team behind the feature released other concept art which can be seen here.

Godzilla will be directed by Kobun Shizuno and Hiroyuki Seshita. Gen Urobuchi created the story and penned the screenplay. This new Godzilla film will follow shortly after the monster’s live-action comeback in Japan with Shin Godzilla.

If you can’t wait to get your Godzilla fix, then Japan still has you covered. Last year, the foreign industry released its first film about Godzilla in years, and the praised feature made the King of Monsters fearsome once more. You can read up on Shin Godzilla below:

In Shin Godzilla, it’s a peaceful day in Japan when a strange fountain of water erupts in the bay, causing panic to spread among government officials. At first, they suspect only volcanic activity, but one young executive dares to wonder if it may be something differentโ€ฆ something alive. His worst nightmare comes to life when a massive, gilled monster emerges from the deep and begins tearing through the city, leaving nothing but destruction in its wake. As the government scrambles to save the citizens, a rag-tag team of volunteers cuts through a web of red tape to uncover the monster’s weakness and its mysterious ties to a foreign superpower. But time is not on their sideโ€”the greatest catastrophe to ever befall the world is about to evolve right before their very eyes.

Shin Godzilla, also known as Godzilla Resurgence, stars Hiroki Hasegawa (Attack on Titan the Movies: Part 1 & 2), Satomi Ishihara (Attack on Titan the Movies: Part 1 & 2), and Yutaka Takenouchi (Reisei to jรดnetsu no aida).
