One Piece is set to return to Netflix with Season 2 of the live-action series sometime next year, and one of the minds behind it all has dropped a tease about the huge arc that’s going to kick off the new wave of episodes. Now carrying a new title, the next season of One Piece Into the Grand Line will see Luffy and the Straw Hats leaving the East Blue seen in the first season and head into a much wider world full of adventure and dangers. But it’s all going to start with one of the most important arcs in the series yet.

One Piece Into the Grand Line will be taking on the Loguetown arc first, and it’s the final stop in the East Blue as Luffy and the others need to cross through the port before they can even make it into the Grand Line. With the first look at the coming arc revealed by Netflix, co-showrunner, executive producer, and writer Joe Tracz teased fans about what to expect from the arc with IGN and revealed how it’s the “perfect” start to the next season of episodes.
Netflix’s One Piece Showrunner Teases Loguetown Arc
“Loguetown is known as ‘the town of the beginning and the end’, so it’s the perfect place to kick off a new season,” Tracz stated. “It’s a city packed with history, fun, and surprises — some that fans may guess, and a few you won’t see coming.” Tracz also teased just how important of an arc this setting is going to be as it’s the final stop before Luffy and the others begin their much longer journey through the rest of the series, “As the last stop before the Grand Line, Loguetown is both a farewell to the past and the start of a new adventure for our Straw Hats.”
“Their world is about to get bigger, the stakes higher, and the villains even more formidable,” Tracz continued. “And it all begins here, setting the stage for the unforgettable journey ahead!” Monkey D. Luffy star Iñaki Godoy shared his excitement for the new season as well, “In the time between Season 1 and Season 2, the crew, cast, and I were able to connect more deeply with each other, with the world of One Piece, and with what the show asks of us,” Godoy stated. “More than anything, I’m just excited for audiences to see something we all feel so proud of. And yes, you can definitely look forward to Luffy eating even more this season!”
When Does One Piece Season 2 Come Out on Netflix?
One Piece Into the Grand Line is scheduled to release with Netflix in 2026, but a release date has yet to be announced for the new episodes as of this time. A third season has also been announced to be in the works, and is already slated to begin production soon. The new season will be tackling the Loguetown, Reverse Mountain, Whiskey Peak, Little Garden, and Drum Island arcs from Eiichiro Oda’s original manga and anime franchise so it’s going to have quite a lot to offer.
Joining the cast for the new season are the likes of are Mikaela Hoover as Tony Tony Chopper, Lera Abova as Nico Robin, Joe Manganiello as Sir Crocodile, Charitha Chandran as Vivi Nefertari, Sendhil Ramamurthy as Cobra Nefertari, Daniel Lasker as Mr. 9, Camrus Johnson as Mr. 5, Jazzara Jaslyn as Miss Valentine, David Dastmalchian as Mr. 3, Clive Russell as Crocus, Werner Coetser as Dorry, Brendan Murray as Brogy, Callum Kerr as Smoker, Julia Rehwald as Tashigi, Rob Colletti as Wapol, Ty Keogh as Dalton, Katey Sagal as Dr. Kureha, Mark Harelik as Dr. Hiriluk, and more. Many of whom have yet to be revealed as of this time.
