In a recent post on X, D&C Webtoon shared a teaser for the latest chapter of Season 2 of Solo Leveling: Ragnarok, which sees the return of the fan-favorite S-rank hunter Baek Yoonho as he joins forces with Sung Suho. While other familiar faces like Choi Jong-in, Lim Tae-gyu, and even Thomas Andre have already made multiple appearances in the sequel so far, Yoonho only recently made his debut in Season 2 of Ragnarok, specifically in Chapter 50, with fans finally getting a glimpse of him all grown up in this alternate timeline, and he looks just as cool as fans remember.
Solo Leveling: Ragnarok Brings Back Baek Yoonho For An Epic Team Up
While fans were introduced to Yoonho’s daughter, Miho, in Season 1, Yoonho has surprisingly been completely out of the picture despite still being the Guild Master of the White Tiger Guild. Season 2 of Solo Leveling: Ragnarok has brought back many old familiar faces in its latest chapters, such as Hwang Dongsuk and Kang Taeshik, though Yoonho’s appearance is easily the most exciting of the lot. Chapter 50 of Ragnarok saw Miho and Yoonho enter the battlefield at the Jisan prison break, while Chapter 52 saw Suho and Yoonho finally cross paths.
In the alternate timeline that Ragnarok takes place in, Yoonho is revealed to be a firefighter alongside Jinwoo’s father and Suho’s grandfather Sung Il-hwan, before awakening as an S-rank hunter. Luckily, despite Suho being branded a villain in Season 2, Yoonho recognizes him as Il-hwan’s grandson and decides to have faith in his innocence, thus paving the way for their epic tag-team battle against the prison escapees in Chapter 53, and giving Suho a much-needed ally against the accusations of the other S-rank hunters.
All that said, the latest chapter of Solo Leveling: Ragnarok has yet again surprised fans with its excellent post-time skip designs. From Choi Jong-in to Woo Jinchul and Lim Tae-gyu, Ragnarok has continued to nail the designs for these fan-favorite characters from the original series, and Yoonho is no exception. It’s especially nice to see these S-rank hunters get more screen time and play a more active role in the story, as many were quickly sidelined in Solo Leveling despite being incredibly interesting, though perhaps the anime can still change that.
Solo Leveling: Ragnarok is available to read on Tapas. Stay tuned for updates on the official English return for Season 2.
