Spy x Family is set to finally make its return to screens with Season 3 as part of the jam packed Fall 2025 anime schedule, and fans have gotten an early look at the new season with the debut of its opening before its full premiere. Spy x Family is one of the major franchises that fans have been excited to see return with new episodes this Fall, and it’s no surprise as to why as many are looking forward to seeing the Forger family take on some wacky new adventures. Spy x Family Season 3 is slated to make its debut this October, and the anime is getting fans ready for its new season’s premiere with the first full look at the new opening theme sequence accompanying the new episodes. Titled “Akari wo Mamoru” as performed by Spitz, the new opening sequence teases a potentially ominous season to come as it has a much different kind of tone than all of the other openings seen from the anime’s first two seasons. What to Know for Spy x Family Season 3
Spy x Family Season 3 will be officially making its debut on October 4th, and will be streaming with Crunchyroll and Hulu when the new episodes premiere. Yukiko Imai will be taking over from Kazuhiro Furuhashi and Takahiro Harada as director ofย Spy x Familyย Season 3 for WIT Studio and CloverWorks. Rino Yamazaki will be handling the scripts for the series, Kazuaki Shimada will be providing the character designs, and (K)NoW_NAME will be composing the music. The previously announced ending theme is also titled “Actor” as performed by Lilas.
There is also going to be a returning voice cast returning for the new episodes headlined by the likes of Takuya Eguchi as Loid Forger,ย Atsumi Tanezaki as Anya Forger, Saori Hayami as Yor Forger, Kenichiro Matsuda as Bond Forger, Hiroyuki Yoshino as Franky Franklin, Yuhko Kaida as Sylvia Sherwood, Kazuhiro Yamaji as Henry Henderson, Kensho Ono as Yuri Briar, Natsumi Fujiwara as Damian Desmond, Emiri Kato as Becky Blackbell, Ayane Sakura as Fiona Frost. Potential new additions to the cast have yet to be revealed as of this time, however, and will likely be showcased following the new season’s premiere.
Why You Should Watch Spy x Family Season 3
Spy x Family Season 3 will be picking up right from where the second season left off from its adaptation of Tatsuya Endo’s original manga, and that means there are some big events that are coming Anya and the others’ way. Much like how the second season focused on Yor for a good deal of it as she took on a big assassin mission, the third season will likely be showcasing a major arc for Anya as she will be caught in a pretty intense situation.
But the biggest draw from the new season is the promise that it will be showcasing Loid Forger’s mysterious past for the first real time. While fans have seen he’ll dedicate everything to his current spy life, there has yet to be any reveal as to why he had become a spy in the first place.
