Marvel Comics has released a preview of Spider-Island #1, the first issue of the new Secret Wars series from writers Christos Gage & Tom DeFalco and artists Paco Diaz and Ron Frenz.
Inspired by the 2011 Spider-Man event of the same name, the series will tell two stories. First, writer Christos Gage and artist Paco Diaz present a Manhattan where The Spider-Queen has won, turning her domain into an island full of Spider-Madness. With Spider-Man defeated, all hope lies in the hands of Flash Thompson, a.k.a. Agent Venom.

The second story returns to the fan-favorite MC2 character Mayday, with creators Tom DeFalco, Ron Frenz and Sal Buscema. Now calling herself Spider-Woman, May braves the horrors of Secret Wars.
