At the premiere of his upcoming film, Jason Bourne, Matt Damon finally answered the question of what it would take to get him to play a super hero.

"I'd consider anything with the right director, but I can't imagine there are any superheroes left, I think they're all taken at this moment," Damon says.

There are always super heroes left!

Furthering the conversation, Damon was asked if he would be more enticed by a super hero role if his good friend Ben Affleck had something to do with it. Affleck, of course, debuted as Batman in Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice earlier this year, will be directing his own standalone Batman movie in the next couple of years.

"If [Ben] was directing me, I'd jump on it in a New York minute," Damon says. "I'd love to work with Ben."

"The problem with Ben is every time he directs a movie, he gives himself the best role in it, so until he's willing to give up the best role to one of his friends, we're not going to get on with it," the actor concludes. There are few characters who would be able to top Batman in a Batman movie but who's to say Damon can't take on an intriguing villain role?

Damon's Jason Bourne hits theaters July 29.
