Over the past year, fans of the DC Extended Universe have grown more excited about its future than ever before. While projects like Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and Suicide Squad were met with mixed reviews, the films broke bank at the box office. In the future. stars like Henry Cavill will reprise his work as Superman while Dwayne Johson takes on Black Adam. And, for the holidays, the two stars have crossed over to wish everyone a wonderful season.

Over on Instagram, Cavill posted a photo that has fans buzzing about the future of Black Adam. The picture shows Cavill and Johnson drinking fine liquor in a tropical paradise, and the stars look relaxed for the holiday.
"Merry Christmas a Happy New Year from Superman and Black Adam @therock . Today we drink like gentleman and come together as friends. We're excited for what the future brings.."
Of course, fans were reminded about Johnson's involvement with Black Adam in April. At the MTV Movie Awards, the former wrestler was seen sporting the hero's famous logo on a black t-shirt. It was back in 2015 that Johnson officially signed onto to play the evil counterpart of Captain Marvel. He is set to star in the Shazam! movie when it debuts in 2019.
As for Cavill, fans are already well-aware of his superhero roots. The actor was cast as Superman years ago when he starred in Man of Steel. He reprised the role this year for Batman v Superman and will do so again for Justice League next year. And, as fans learned earlier this year, a sequel to Man of Steel is in development over at Warner Bros now.
In Justice League, fueled by his restored faith in humanity and inspired by Superman's selfless act, Bruce Wayne enlists the help of his newfound ally, Diana Prince, to face an even greater enemy. Together, Batman and Wonder Woman work quickly to find and recruit a team of metahumans to stand against this newly awakened threat. But despite the formation of this unprecedented league of heroes—Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg and The Flash—it may already be too late to save the planet from an assault of catastrophic proportions.
Justice League is directed by Zack Snyder, from a screenplay by Chris Terrio, and features an ensemble cast that includes Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill, Gal Gadot, Ezra Miller, Jason Momoa, Ray Fisher, Ciarán Hinds, Amy Adams, Diane Lane, Jeremy Irons and Jesse Eisenberg.
