The big reveal in the Season 2 finale of iZombie came at the very end when Vivian Stoll (played by Andrea Savage), the CEO of Fillmore-Graves Enterprises and Max Rager, tells Liv that she too is a zombie, her employees are zombies, and she wants to make Seattle a safe haven for zombies. Well, if all these zombies are headed to Seattle, where are all of them going to hang out?

“The number of zombies in Seattle is going up at an alarming rate, and it’s high time someone capitalized on the undead’s desire to socialize with their own kind,” showrunner Rob Thomas told EW. “We originally named the establishment Coldcock’s, but apparently that’s the name of a brand of booze, so we settled on our second choice, The Scratching Post. It’s a speakeasy where one needs to be able to eat a ghost pepper without flinching to be allowed in, but once inside, brains and hot sauces from around the world are available for the discriminating zombie.”

iZombie is based upon characters created by Chris Roberson and Michael Allred for Vertigo from DC Entertainment. The series was developed for television by Thomas and Ruggiero-Wright, who executive produce along with Danielle Stokdyk (Veronica Mars, Party Down) and Dan Etheridge (Veronica Mars, Party Down). iZombie is produced by Bonanza Productions Inc. in association with Spondoolie Productions and Warner Bros. Television.

The show stars Rose McIver (Once Upon a Time, Masters of Sex) as Liv Moore, Malcolm Goodwin (Breakout Kings) as Detective Clive Babinaux, Rahul Kohli (Eastenders) as Dr. Ravi Chakrabarti, Robert Buckley (One Tree Hill) as Major Lilywhite, and David Anders (Once Upon a Time, The Vampire Diaries) as Blaine “DeBeers” McDonough.

The 13-episode third season of iZombie is currently slated for midseason premiere.
