Later, Major complains about the brains to Ravi. Liv is also there, and the trio are preparing for a game night.

Peyton watches Blaine sing and play piano at a fancy bar. After his performance, Peyton asks how Blaine got the gig, and Blaine revealed that the last performer died suddenly and Blaine covered the funeral.

Blaine mentions that his dad’s lawyer called him about a new problem, and asks Peyton to accompany him. She agrees.

Topher, a yoga teacher, finishes instructing a class. After his students leave, he meditates alone. A mysterious figure creeps up behind him and murders him.

Clive walks through the murder scene, and interrogates one of Topher’s coworkers, Lady Bird. She is unhelpful, so Clive turns his attention to Ravi and Liv. They discover a bloody footprint at the scene, which should help identify the culprit.

Clive then questions a homeless man who says he saw the murderer leave through an alley, carrying his belongings in a trash bag. Clive, Liv, and Ravi go into the alley, and Clive climbs into the dumpster to find the trash bag. He finds it, with the bloody shoes inside.

Liv makes Topher’s brains into tea. Ravi wonders if Topher died with any regrets, bringing the subject to Peyton. Liv tells Ravi to talk to her himself.

Katty, Ravi’s former boss from the CDC, comes in. She reveals what she’s learned – another dead body from Seattle found with brains inside its stomach. She decides that Seattle is the center of her investigation, and that she’ll need to stay a while longer.

Peyton cancels her meetings for the day to meet with Blaine. Ravi comes in and asks if they can talk. He explains his jealousy towards Peyton and Blaine’s relationship. Peyton explains that she likes being around Blaine because he’s a brave person, regardless of his past actions, and that Ravi’s opinion in the matter is irrelevant.

Blaine calls Peyton, who tells him she’s running late to the meeting. Blaine keeps his dad’s lawyer – as well as his dad – occupied.

Peyton comes in and recognizes Blaine’s dad. She informs Blaine that the man is his father, and he is surprised, but understands. He agrees to sign back the money he earned from his dad’s will.

Blaine asks to hear family stories. Blaine’s father tells him a story about how Blaine pawned off his mother’s earrings as a child, an act that made Blaine’s father hate him.

Liv arrives late to meet Clive, preoccupied with the habits of Topher’s brain. Clive reveals to Liv that Topher used to be a successful businessman, and that some of his past ties could lead to motive.

Major is in paintball mercenary training, and again gets shot in the head.

Major and one of his fellow mercenaries talk about what everyone used to do before becoming zombies. They bond over the fact that they hadn’t done things like this in the past. The other mercenary walks away, and Major begins coughing violently.

Major visits Blaine about Natalie. He asks Blaine to run the phone number, and he does, but he explains that the person in question might be out of town, so Major needs to be patient. Major laments about how he might not have much time to wait.

Don E shows Blaine’s dad, Angus, the space he has for their new operation. Angus is unimpressed with everything Don E suggests.

Ravi does a check up on Major. He explains to Major and Liv that Major has a few weeks left until he will have to take the cure. Ravi says that his memory serum is ready, they just need to test it on Blaine. Liv offers to ask Peyton to help convince Blaine.

Liv and Clive interrogate Topher’s former business partner, Mitch. Clive asks the guy to measure his feet, to rule him out of potential suspects. His feet are too small, and he doesn’t fit the description anyway. The business partner mentions a third business partner – Devin, the other guy at the yoga studio.

Liv and Clive question Devin. He fits the right description and owned the bloody shoes that Clive found, but he swears he didn’t do it. He claims that his energy was obstructed the night of the murder. Clive doesn’t believe it, and suggests that they put Devin in a lineup and have the homeless guy point him out.

Ravi tries to work, but is interrupted by Katty. She reveals that the second dead body she found was also at the boat party, and questions if there’s a link between the two. Ravi says that even though he investigated bodies from that party, he didn’t see any brains in people’s stomachs. Katty changes the subject, inviting Ravi to dinner with her.

Clive and Liv sit on a stakeout, Clive getting annoyed about Liv’s personality on Topher’s brain. Another officer drives by, saying that an old woman from the apartment upstairs had mistaken Clive and Liv for a pimp and a sex worker.

Clive and Liv realize that the woman might have seen who left the alley, and they make their way up to her apartment. She explains that she saw the homeless man run out of the alley and throw something in a dumpster – meaning he could have committed the murder.

Major goes through paintball mercenary training and does a good job. Later, he offers his mercenary friend, Justin, some pure brains through his hookup.

Liv hurries home to find Major and Justin playing a dancing game. Major introduces Justin and Liv. Major goes into the kitchen to make snacks and gets into an even worse coughing fit.

Clive and Liv question Mitch again, determining that he was actually the homeless man, and attempted to frame Devin for the murder.

Team Z brings Peyton and Blaine into the morgue. Ravi tells Blaine about the memory serum, and asks if he would be willing to take it. Blaine gets worried about the idea of remembering his own life, but Ravi believes that Blaine should, as payback for turning Major into a zombie in the first place.

Peyton and Ravi get into an argument, and Ravi explains that he’s been acting this way because he’s in love with Peyton. Blaine explains that he knew all along, and volunteers to take the memory serum. Ravi begins to inject him with it.

Angus arrives at Don E’s zombie bar, along with Dino. Don E has now given it a name – The Scratching Post. They determine their business system.

Peyton arrives at Ravi’s apartment. She asks why Ravi hasn’t been there for her during her trauma even though he claims he loves her. She explains that Ravi’s pride is stopping them from being together. Ravi promises to change, and the pair share a kiss.

A glass breaks from inside the kitchen. Peyton follows it and finds Katty half-dressed. Ravi begins to explain himself, but Peyton gets upset and storms out.

Don E walks by Blaine singing in the club. Peyton walks through the club crying and goes over to Liv and Major for comfort.
