Ahead of the imminent release of the next installment in the LEGO Movie franchise, Warner Bros. released a new video loaded with Easter Eggs referencing some fan-favorite characters.

The video for The LEGO Ninjago Movie features Abby Jacobson of Broad City fame voicing her character Nya. In the clip, Nya is providing some “back-to-school” tips for successful ninja tactics and tools, featuring some humorous clips from the upcoming movie.

The clip shows some of Nya’s revered idols taped up on the inside of her locker door, including Wyldstyle and Unikitty from The LEGO Movie, Batgirl from The LEGO Batman Movie, and Wonder Woman. Check out the clip above!

Given the nature of the continuity established in The LEGO Movie, it makes sense that they’d pack their subsequent movies with references to other worlds. These movies are only limited by the imaginations of those making and viewing, which extends to the playstyle of the brick-based toys considering the vast amount of themes in LEGO’s repertoire.

While The LEGO Ninjajo Movie might not have a special cameo from Will Arnet’s Batman, that they’re including fan-favorite characters from previous movies โ€” and the star of the summer’s biggest hit โ€” in such a manner means they’re aware of the reception these characters have had among fans.

Wonder Woman and Batgirl have seen a major boost in their popularity in recent years. Wonder Woman’s hit film continues to dominate in theaters despite debuting on Digital HD next week, and Batgirl is getting her own live-action film coming up.

We’ll see if the two DC Comics heroines have larger roles in the upcoming LEGO Ninjago Movie when it premieres in theaters September 22.

In this big-screen NINJAGO adventure, the battle for NINJAGO City calls to action young Master Builder Lloyd, aka the Green Ninja, along with his friends, who are all secret ninja warriors. Led by Master Wu, as wise-cracking as he is wise, they must defeat evil warlord Garmadon, The Worst Guy Ever, who also happens to be Lloyd’s dad. Pitting mech against mech and father against son, the epic showdown will test this fierce but undisciplined team of modern-day ninjas who must learn to check their egos and pull together to unleash their inner power of Spinjitzu.
