Before Melissa Benoist was kicking-butt as the Woman of Steel on the action-packed television series Supergirl, she was singing and dancing as Marley Rose, a chipper member of William McKinley High School's glee club, on FOX's musical television series Glee. So it'll be pretty exciting to see Benoist showing off her melodious talents once again when The Flash-Supergirl musical crossover arrives next month.
The two-part event starting Monday, March 20, will also feature fellow Glee alums Grant Gustin (The Flash) and Darren Criss (Music Meister) — along with other cast members of The CW's DC superhero shows — belting out tunes. Plus, Benoist will be sporting a new Supergirl costume, according to ET's Leanne Aguilera.
"Fact: Melissa Benoist looks absolutely STUNNING in her musical crossover costume!" she exclaimed on her official Twitter account. "No pics for now, but just WOW!"
As she said, no photos of the new costume have been released yet. What could it look like? I don't know. I wouldn't be surprised if it's encrusted with sparkly rhinestones, though.
Meanwhile, EW's Spoiler Room provided their own tease for the musical crossover: "I can't tell you what, but I am gleefully humming a song I heard on The Flash-Supergirl musical crossover set, which is permanently cemented in my head."
