Kevin Sorbo, best known for playing Hercules in the 1990s show Hercules: The Legendary Journeys, was recently cast on the show in a multi-episode arc.

And now, thanks to Sorbo’s recent interview with Entertainment Tonight, we know a few more details about the role he will be playing in the show’s sophomore season.

“I leave next week! I’m heading up to Vancouver, and I’ll be doing a three-show arc, and Teri Hatcher‘s playing my wife.”

That last piece of news will be particularly of interest to Supergirl fans, who have been theorizing about what exactly Hatcher’s involvement with the show could be since her casting was announced. Hatcher is familiar to DC fans for playing Lois Lane in the 1990s series Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman.

Sorbo also revealed that his and Hatcher’s characters will be hailing from somewhere other than Earth. “I’m from another planet that’s an arch-rival planet of Krypton. Which is now of course destroyed.”

This hint makes it easy to assume that the pair will be hailing from Daxam, especially considering the relevance of the planet this season with the addition of Mon-El (Chris Wood). While Daxam is the most likely guess, the expansive nature of the DCTV universe makes the amount of possibilities a little higher.

Either way, Sorbo sounds excited to be appearing on the show, and mentioned that he was close to working with Hatcher, and slipping into a pair of red tights himself back, in the 1990s.

“Way back in 1993, I actually booked Lois & Clark, and 24 hours later they canceled me and put in Dean Cain,” Sorbo explained. “But three months later, I got Hercules, so I was okay with it.”

This is sure to make any possible onscreen dynamic between Sorbo and Cain – who now guest stars on Supergirl as the title character’s adopted father – particularly interesting.
