Wonder Woman has dominated the conversation this summer, bringing in lots at the box office since its premiere in June. And now, the film is starting to bring in awards - starting with the Teen Choice Awards.
It was just announced that Wonder Woman star Gal Gadot has won the Choice Action Movie Actress award at tonight's Teen Choice Awards. The film's star, Gal Gadot, wasn't on hand to accept the award, but was included in an adorable pre-taped video involving the award show's mascot.
In total, Wonder Woman has lassoed in eight Teen Choice Awards nominations. Gadot and Chris Pine are nominated for Choice Action Movie Actress and Actor, as well as Choice Summer Movie Actress and Actor, while their onscreen characters are up for Choice Liplock and Choice Movie Ship. The film itself is also nominated for Choice Action Movie.
It's unclear at the time of this writing, if the film has won any of those other awards yet. But fans can expect the categories to be announced sometime late Sunday or early Monday.
Based on recent rumors, the Teen Choice Awards won't be the only award show that Wonder Woman could dominate at. Warner Bros. is reportedly planning a groundbreaking campaign for the film at next year's Academy Awards, with the film itself and director Patty Jenkins up for consideration.
