Zack Snyder Shares Stunning New Batman Photo

Batman‘s costume has certainly seen a big evolution from the Michael Keaton days, and it continues to evolve in Justice League. While the overall aesthetic is staying the same, the materials the studio uses for these costumes are always changing in an effort to be more comfortable and appear even more realistic.

3D renders of the Batman cowl recently surfaced, and Justice League director Zack Snyder recently shared a hi-res shot of the back of Batman’s cowl and the upper half of his cape. The detail in the cape is stunning, and with each iteration, designers seem to slim down the cowl a little bit more. You can view the photo below.

Costume designer Michael Wilkinson recently alluded to changes in the new cowl, saying “We’ve come up with a new cowl. It’s very close to the last one, but again new technologies, new materials (now made from polyurethane instead of foam latex), tweaking has allowed us to take that one even further.”

In Justice League, fueled by his restored faith in humanity and inspired by Superman’s selfless act, Bruce Wayne enlists the help of his newfound ally, Diana Prince, to face an even greater enemy. Together, Batman and Wonder Woman work quickly to find and recruit a team of metahumans to stand against this newly awakened threat. But despite the formation of this unprecedented league of heroes—Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg and The Flash—it may already be too late to save the planet from an assault of catastrophic proportions.

Justice League is directed by Zack Snyder, from a screenplay by Chris Terrio, and features an ensemble cast that includes Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill, Gal Gadot, Ezra Miller, Jason Momoa, Ray Fisher, Ciarán Hinds, Amy Adams, Diane Lane, Jeremy Irons and Jesse Eisenberg.

Justice League hits theaters on November 11, 2017, while Logan lands in theaters on March 3, 2017.
