Call Of Duty: WWII Gets Tons Of New Multiplayer Trailers
We’ve already seen a great amount of content from Call of Duty: WWII this week, with a fresh [...]
War Mode Briefing
Need to get accustomed to the new War Mode? This is the video for you. In it, you receive a briefing where you have to infiltrate and liberate a village that's been overtaken by the enemy. You'll get a rundown of what tools you'll have available, as well as what weapons you can use, like a heavy machine gun section – something you'll need if you wish to succeed. The briefing runs down how you can go in, and what objectives need to be completed in order to overtake the area. This is just a small taste of what War Mode will have on hand, so prepare for a whole lot of awesome.
prevnextExpeditionary Division Briefing
Here's a quick rundown of the Expeditionary Division that will be featured in the game, the newest one being available. You'll need to do a lot of night raiding to overtake weapons and obtain new goods that will help you fight back against the enemy. You'll also be creating new weapons, including a shotgun that can shoot explosive shells, leaving the enemies burning after you hit them. The tool of choice is the 1897 Shotgun – and yes, it looks like it kicks ass. Granted, you'll need to "sacrifice everything" in order to make this class work for you.
prevnextInfantry Division Briefing
Let's say you're not really a fan of strategy, and you instead want to hit the ground running with a gun in your hand. Well, this Division is for you. Infantry requires you to take on soldiers both in up-close battle and long range, using with a number of weapons. The bayonet and the M1 Garand Rifle are ideal when it comes to engaging the enemy at all ranges. You'll have grenades and a 1911 Pistol, so you can handle quick skirmishes as well. This will no doubt be the most action-based Division available, but some Call of Duty players are accustomed to that anyway. Prepare for hard training!
prevnextAirborne Division Briefing
This particular unit is all about being right in the thick of battle, and at the very front of the assault. It may not be for everyone, but those that are bold will have no trouble grabbing their M3 Submachine Gun and M18 Smoke Grenades and engaging enemy forces. This is a class where you'll have to sneak in, and then strike fear into your adversaries while waiting for support from Infantry and other Divisions. This one is bound to pose a challenge, but those that are ready to take it will be rewarded head-on by catching the enemy by surprise – and turning the tide of the war in your favor.
prevnextArmored Division Briefing
Let's say you're looking for more of an explosive approach to taking on your enemy. Well, the Armored Division is for you. They have one mission – engage and destroy the enemy. These soldiers utilize direct combat and fire support to help out other Divisions. That includes utilizing the best armed and best supplies forces on the battlefield. You'll also gain access to innovative weaponry, like the light machine gun, which can be carried separately or mounted onto a vehicle. And we can't forget the M1 Bazooka, which can stop a tank in its tracks. "And they call it a secondary weapon." Yeah, hardly. You'll have a sweet Anti-Tank Grenade as well.
prevnextMountain Division Briefing
Ready to take down foes from afar? Then the Mountain Division – Sniper Class – will get the job done for you. "If you want to make your shot count, then we have a place for you." The M1903 Rifle will be an ideal weapon when it comes to taking down enemies from a great distance (we're talking 1,000 meters), but you'll also serve as the "eyes of the unit" for other Divisions. You'll just need to find a vantage point that's good for you. The S-Mines are good for defense as well, in case enemy soldiers come looking for you. Stealth is the name of the game here, so snipers, welcome home.
prevnextPointe Du Hoc Multiplayer Map
In the first of the two multiplayer map sneak peeks, you'll get the lay of the land on Pointe Du Hoc, a D-day based landing site that has tight gameplay spaces, including bunkers and trenches that can create intense close-range battles. This is good for those in the Infantry and Armored classes, as you can really dig in and mow down foes in these areas. Snipers have their spaces as well, but this is really more about close-quarters combat, so work well with your team and you just might survive to the next round. Make sure you're not caught out in the open for too long, though. Ouch.
prevnextAdrennes Multiplayer Map
Finally, here's another multiplayer map fly-through, this time for the Adrennes multiplayer map. In it, you'll battle around a German encampment and vehicle convoy in the Ardennes Forest, during the infamous Battle of the Bulge. It's here that you'll engage in short to medium range battles, using a variety of Divisions to try and turn the tide in your favor. This map looks a little more wide open than Pointe Du Hoc, but keep up your guard, because both snipers and close-range soldiers will do their best to put you down. Take a close look at the video and prepare for battle, because you won't have to wait too much longer now.
