WB Games was no stranger to its stage shows this week at the Electronic Entertainment Expo, as we learned about a number of new additions that are coming to its games. For instance, we found out that Sub-Zero would be making his Injustice 2 debut next month, and now we've got another familiar face joining another franchise – in this case, Lego Marvel Super Heroes 2.

During the stage presentation, which you can see above, the team at Travellers Tales, the developer of the game, walked us through some new gameplay footage from the forthcoming sequel, featuring a number of familiar characters and locales that fans of the Marvel universe will certainly enjoy.

But that's just the tip of the iceberg, as a character reveal indicated just how deep into the Marvel lexicon the team is going. Around the eight-minute mark, we're introduced to Lockjaw, a character from the forthcoming Inhumans series, and he's absolutely adorable.

But don't let his looks fool you. "He can teleport, he's an absolute fiend when it comes to destroying bad guys and everything else," the Travellers Tales team explained. We then see him in a bit of action, jumping around and having a good time alongside the Spidey character.

And he's just one of the many characters that will be included in Lego Marvel Super Heroes 2. As you can see, there are a plethora of characters that can be unlocked over the course of the game, with a grid filled with question marks just waiting to be revealed. Of course, anyone who's a fan of Travellers Tales knows that it's a forte for the team – they've always made games that are loaded with characters by the dozens. Even older titles like Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga features dozens of playable heroes and villains – we're still unlocking them.

Enjoy the footage above, and try to get over how adorable Lockjaw is…and wonder what other Inhumans characters could be involved in the fray as well. Who knows, we just might see the whole gang!

Lego Marvel Super Heroes 2 will release on November 14th for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch and PC.
