The Crash Bandicoot panel is underway at San Diego Comic-Con, and while we aren't able to check out live streams in terms of seeing what's happening, we have managed to catch a few details online. The team has shown some interesting behind-the-scenes designs in regards to the game, but a little tidbit has also been revealed for fans that really want to see the creative process of what Crash Bandicoot is all about.

Earlier this week, we noted that reps from Dark Horse Comics were attending the panel, indicating that Crash might be getting something on the print side of things, such as a comic book or something along those lines. Well, thanks to our friends at LootCrate, we know exactly what it is – a bible!

Well, not like a Holy Bible or anything like that, but rather a book that breaks down everything Crash Bandicoot. The team has announced that it will release The Crash Bandicoot Files: How Willy the Wombat Sparked Marsupial Mania, and, as you can see by the image above, it features early concept drawings of the hero in action, before Naughty Dog eventually finalized its design.

Dark Horse hasn't broken down entirely what will be included in the book, but it will more than likely look at the creation of Crash Bandicoot as well as the many elements that went into his early games, and maybe even a little bit of info in regards to the creation of the Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy for PlayStation 4 – possibly including some of the art that's being shown during the panel today. (You may want to keep an eye on LootCrate's Twitter, linked above, for more info.)

The "developers bible" is set to be released in March 2018, and Dark Horse also noted that there will be "more" in print. Not sure if this means Crash will be getting that comic set or not, but this could pertain to the book itself. It'll still be loaded with retro goodness, especially to fans that want to see what Crash is all about.

Congrats to Dark Horse and Activision on the forthcoming book!

Crash Bandicoot: N. Sane Trilogy is available now for PlayStation 4.
