Build-A-Bear is getting a new Pokemon plush. The popular stuffed animal company announced today that Meowth will become the fifth Pokemon to appear as part of their ongoing partnership with the Pokemon franchise.

The new plushs will be available in stores and in their online store beginning today, September 14th. In honor of Meowth’s long affiliation with Team Rocket, fans can purchase a special Team Rocket-themed hoodie as part of an exclusive online bundle or as a standalone item from their website. In addition to Team Rocket’s red “R” logo, the hoodie also has a silhouette of Jessie and James in a subtle nod to Meowth’s partners. UPDATE: The online exclusive Meowth set is available to order here. Apparently, purchasing it will earn you $10 off a second online exclusive Pokemon bundle.
The online Meowth bundle, which costs $60, also comes with a Quick Ball hoodie and a special sound chip with six different sound clips. As of right now, we don’t know if those sound clips will feature Meowth talking like a human, or if this Meowth is an uneducated Meowth that can only say its name. Like the Team Rocket hoodie, the Meowth sound chip is only available online.
Fans can also buy the Quick Ball hoodie in-store, along with a non-talking version of Meowth. Build-A-Bear locations can also now sell booster packs of Pokemon Trading Cards, at least according to the siterunner of the popular Pokemon merchandise tracking site Pokeshopper.
Meowth joins Pikachu, Squirtle, Charmander, and Eevee at Build-A-Bear, although the plushes and outfits are often sold out due to their immense popularity. Build-A-Bear typically releases two new Pokemon plushes a year, so I’m guessing we’ll see who joins their growing Pokemon line next spring. Maybe next time we’ll get a Mew or Bulbasaur plush!
