At 11 o'clock this morning, Rockstar Games followed up on its teaser image posted last week and dropped a new trailer, with a ballpark on when we'll be seeing the game.

Red Dead Redemption 2 follows Arthur Morgan, a new character in what rumors say is a prequel to the first game. He, along with Dutch, leader of the eponymous gang and ally to John Marston from the Red Dead 1.

Here's more from the official listing: The story of outlaw Arthur Morgan and the Van der Linde gang as they rob, fight and steal their way across the vast and rugged heart of America in order to survive. Coming Spring 2018 to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One systems.

If you follow Rockstar's games, you'd know that their trailers are packed with cinematic flair. Red Dead II is no different, unsurprisingly. However, with a high degree of polish comes delays.

This past May, the game was pushed back from its initial 2017 release date which, to be fair, people saw coming. With a focus on quality over rushing a game out the door, Rockstar released this statement:

"We are very sorry for any disappointment this delay causes, but we are firm believers in delivering a game only when it is ready. We are really excited to bring you more details about the game this summer. In the meantime, please enjoy this selection of new screenshots from the world of Red Dead Redemption 2."

Given that games being delayed soon after they're announced are no surprise these days, but the drip-feed of beautiful trailers and teaser images are reassuring that the wait will be worthwhile.

Still no word on a PC release though, but we'll hopefully be getting more info soon.
