Two of League of Legends’ juggernauts are receiving quite a few changes in Patch 7.21, one of them a champ that’s been worked on recently and another that you might not even know is a juggernaut.

Urgot and Udyr are two of the champions that are being targeted in the upcoming patch with both of them getting buffed to put them in a better spot. Udyr’s certainly the champion that needs the changes more than others, a jungler that’s all but absent from League at the moment, but Urgot’s aren’t anything to scoff at either.

Check out the full changes for the two champions that’ll ship with Patch 7.21 seen below.

Urgot’s Buffs

Urgot seems to be nearing the point where he’s doing pretty well, but getting to that point in the game should be a bit easier with changes to his abilities coming in this next patch.

To help Urgot more in teamfights, the cooldown on his explosive knees is being changed slightly. The trade-off is that they’ll do less damage in the early game, but when late game rolls around, they’ll be on an insanely low cooldown of just 2.5 seconds per leg. His Corrosive Charge and ultimate are also getting several changed to make them more effective as seen in the official patch notes:

  • Passive – Echoing Flames
    • LEG COOLDOWN :: 30/25/20/15/10 (at levels 1/6/9/11/13) >>> 30/20/10/5/2.5 (at levels 1/6/9/11/13). No longer scales off of cooldown reduction from items.
    • DAMAGE PER LEG :: 4.5/5.25/6/7/8% target’s maximum health (at levels 1/6/9/13/15) >>> 2/3/4/6/8% target’s maximum health (at levels 1/6/9/11/13)
  • Q – Corrosive Charge
    • MANA CAST :: 35/40/45/50/55 >>> 50 at all ranks
    • TIME BEFORE DETONATION :: 0.85 seconds >>> 0.5 seconds
  • R – Fear Beyond Death
    • MISSILE SPEED :: 2100 >>> 3200
  • Bugfixes
    • SORRY, URGOT :: Sterak’s Gage is no longer listed in Urgot’s recommended items (since it’s now melee only)

Udyr’s Buffs

Udyr, a champion that exists solely in the jungle but hardly sees any play in the shadow of others like Jarvan IV and Sejuani, is also getting some love in the latest patch.

Unlike Urgot’s changes, Udyr’s don’t come with any trade-offs, the jungler instead receiving some straight-up buffs and a pretty noticeable attack damage growth stat boost. Even with these buffs, the explanation for the buffs provided in the patch notes indicates that Udyr’s still quite a ways away from where he needs to be, but they changes seen below will hopefully help until he has more substantial work done.

  • Base stats
    • ATTACK DAMAGE GROWTH STAT :: 3.2 >>> 5
  • Q – Tiger Stance
    • TIGER STRIKE RATIO :: 120/130/140/150/160% total attack damage >>> 120/135/150/165/180% total attack damage
  • R – Phoenix Stance
    • PHOENIX STRIKE RATIO :: 0.45 ability power >>> 0.6 ability power
