Super Mario Odyssey Is Available For Pre-Load On Nintendo Switch Right Now

In less than 48 hours, we'll be able to partake in the first 3D Mario adventure since the days of Super Mario Galaxy 2 (yes, Super Mario 3D Land and Super Mario 3D World came out, but we're talking more of an explorative 3D) with Super Mario Odyssey. And those of you that don't feel like waiting to add it to your game collection have some good news coming.

Nintendo has confirmed that, with the new 4.0.0 firmware that was introduced to the Nintendo Switch last week, pre-loading certain games is a possibility. And it's put that feature to good use with the best game to do so – Super Mario Odyssey!

You can pre-purchase the game on the Nintendo eShop now, and then get to downloading so you have it all set to play when the game comes out tomorrow night! It should be available starting at 9 PM PDT on the 26th, so you can jump in and enjoy.

Once the purchase is made, you'll see an option available to download the game. You probably shouldn't worry too much about hard drive space, as the game only takes up about 5.3GB – a mere fraction of what The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and Fire Emblem Warriors clock in at, around 13GB each or so.

We've been hearing good things about Super Mario Odyssey, so something tells us that this will be one of the games you won't want to miss this holiday season. And now, you have the means to have it absolutely ready when it unlocks tomorrow night, so you can jump right in to New Donk City and the other amazing worlds that the game has to offer. We're excited to see where Mario's adventure goes!
