If you’ve been playing Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered during Activision’s Days of Summer event, you might have come across Prop Mode, a fantastic little entry in which one player tries to hide from others by choosing an inanimate object on the playing field and successfully hiding from them, be it a tin can, a trash can or another object in the stage.
It’s a lot more fun than folks may realize, offering a good level of creativity โ and even some laughs as the player that’s hiding as a prop tries to scramble to safety. And now, you’ll be able to play it more often.

Over the weekend, Raven Software, the developers behind the revitalized version of the classic Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, held a vote with its fanbase asking which mode they wanted to see permanently added to the game โ either Prop Mode or Slasher, another popular entry during the Days of Summer promotion. “We’re making either #PropHunt or #Slasher permanent at the end of #CODDaysofSummer,” it noted, asking fans to vote on particular images.
Thousands of fans voted, and, in the end, Prop Mode won by a hair! The developer confirmed on Twitter today that it will now be a permanent playlist in the game. “#PropHunt is the overwhelming winner!” Raven proclaimed. “Look under the ‘Standard’ playlist section where it will be a permanent playlist in #MWRemastered!” So now you can play the mode however you see fit.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered has been seeing quite a bit of resurgence as of late. Originally released as part of the Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare Legacy Edition last year, Activision decided to give the game its own separate release this year, first on the PlayStation 4, and then later on Xbox One and PC. The move paid off in dividends, as it remains one of the company’s most popular Call of Duty games, even with all the hype going into Call of Duty: WWII, which is coming up in November.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered is available now for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC.
