A new trailer for the upcoming Call of Duty: WWII was released during Paris Games Week that provided a fresh new look at the historic combat.

The release of the game isn't far away now that we're moving into November soon, so it makes perfect sense that Sony would want to hype up the Sledgehammer Games title with a new trailer so close to its release. Bayonets, flamethrowers, and other breathtaking combat scenes filled the Paris Games Week trailer, all of which are components that players will undoubtedly be looking forward to eve more after they got a taste of the gameplay from the beta version.

At the end of the trailer, it also provided a promotion once again for the season pass that'll accompany Call of Duty: WWII along with another bonus map called Carentan. Judging from the way that the trailer ended with the name shown by itself, it appears that the combat shown before hand was likely footage of what that map will look like. With a dense city environment and plenty of barricades and windows to climb over and shoot through, it doesn't look like it'll be differing a great deal from other Call of Duty maps, but it still looks to be a worthwhile addition if you're planning on picking up the season pass anyway.

But perhaps even better than the whole trailer itself was more information that was provided at the end, details about when players could expect their first DLC to drop. The season pass will guarantee you several DLCs throughout the development of the Call of Duty game, but the release date of the first DLC was also confirmed at the conclusion of the trailer. Called Call of Duty: WWII The Resistance, the new DLC is scheduled to be released pretty soon after the actual game itself, just a couple months later in January.

Details on what will be included with the upcoming The Resistance DLC remain to be seen, but we do know that it'll be releasing on Jan. 30 with PlayStation 4 users getting first access to the content ahead of others.
