Here's what Slayerage had to say about the defeat of Emperor Calus and how it is less of a challenge than people might think with a smaller team:
"This was actually easier than three manning, funny enough. The normal mechanics of the fight are still possible with three people, but once you get down to two, it's either fight insane RNG or use the sneaky sneaky spot Cookiez is in. Wouldn't have been able to do this, especially not so soon, if not for the fact that it was brought to my attention by Adnan Özsarigöl's comment on the 3 man video that this spot exists."

Though they did utilise an exploit, the footage above is still impressive. The team of two definitely did not shy away from taking Calus head on through some powerful DPS. Again, that trust in your team mate is crucial and the almost dance-like precision they moved in when taking on this challenging fight just proves that statement.
In addition to their previously mentioned impressive conquering of the Pleasure Gardens, they were also among the team that led the first victory of the Leviathan raid. It was a huge accomplishment, one that Bungie themselves could help but to share their excitement about in an adorable video here.
