A new trailer has been released from the team over at Bethesda to formally introduce the villain in the upcoming standalone adventure; Dishonored: Death of the Outsider.
The Outsider takes center stage in the latest video seen above and his character is shrouded in both mystery and purchase. This entity that is responsible for the assassin's having their powers now becomes the hunted as the protagonist Billie Lurk is tasked with taking out The Outsider once and for all. You also may recognize Draud from one of the DLCs for the original Dishonored.
During the video, the Bethesda Live Stage housed a few questions surrounding what fans can expect from this standalone and with one answer, the lines between what is right and wrong became infinitely more grey. Here's the overall synopsis for the upcoming events according to the creative director Harvey Smith:
"Rightly or wrongly, Billie and her mentor Daud come to the conclusion that the Outsider is responsible for a lot of the chaos in the world. And if they remove the Outsider, then the world will be a better, safer place."
The overall tone sees one big question being asked of the assassins themselves, "Have I made the world a better place, or have I made the world a worse place?" A morally ambiguous adventure ahead for those looking forward to taking the fight to The Outsider himself.
Dishonored: Death of the Outsider is available for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC on September 15th.
