Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 Launching on Switch This Fall
This just in: Gematsu is reporting that the latest issue of V-Jump reveals that the Nintendo Switch version of Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 will be launching in Japan this fall. Find some in-game screenshots of the Switch version in the gallery below.
This was one of the first games revealed for the Switch, and the port has been working for some time now. Since Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 has already been localized and is already available on other consoles, we expect the Nintendo Switch release to be a global release. We haven't heard from our North American Bandai Namco partners yet, but we'll update you as soon as that changes.
The Switch version of Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2, apart from being portable, will also feature six-player local wireless multiplayer, two-player battles using single Joy-Con controllers, and the ability to project Kamehamehas using motion controls because, let's be honest, we've been practicing that for decades now. The report adds that as a bonus, players on Switch will receive a code to unlock all of the playable characters from the main story of the first Dragon Ball Xenoverse early on.
This issue of V-Jump also has some good news for Xenoverse 2 players on other platforms. Super Saiyan Blue Vegito and Fused Zamasu are on the way as DLC characters for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC versions of the game. We assume that these will come as part of another Super Pack. Again, we'll get you the official details as soon as we hear from Bandai Namco.
