As the release date for Star Wars Battlefront II looms closer, expectant fans are getting more excited as new details about the throroughly fleshed out story and new multiplayer aspects continue to be revealed. The most recent announcement is the inclusion of Emperor Palpatine and a few of his powers and abilities that he brings to the table.

Emperor Palpatine is one of many characters from the dark or light side that players will be able to assume direct control over. He provides a potent attack in the multiplayer-verse, here are some of the abilities and powers that have been revealed before Battlefront II hits shelves this November.
Powers and Abilities
Emperor Palpatine is a dangerous enemy to go up against, especially at close range. His area effect attacks can take out entire groups of enemies in one go, but it wouldn’t be true to character if he didn’t have his iconic Force lightning. Harnessing energy from his hands, the outwards push is his most basic attack while also proving to be a solid foundation for more potent special abilities.
He can also summon a dark auro of Force energy to encapsulate him in battle, making contact damage a very real possibility for any foe that comes near him. The auro itself not only deals damage by proximity, but it also slows down opponents as well.
The final most notable ability revealed for Palpatine is that he can effectively control and lock down entire groups of enemies with a powerful electrocution technique. This immobilizes the enemy and makes them incredibly susceptible to taking on mass amounts of damage.
