Just in time for Gamescom this week, Nintendo has a new trailer for Fire Emblem Warriors that showcases a bit more of the story that we can expect from the game.

It revolves around a number of classic characters from Fire Emblem, who take part in a war between two royal families. Though there's not much new gameplay to be seen (at least, not yet), we do get an idea of how the characters will be involved – and, more than likely, what characters will be playable within the game.

The two families eventually have to come together when it comes to facing off against the Chaos Dragon, who stands as a definite threat to the world. And that involves beating up all sorts of enemies with musou-style skills, completing a number of missions along the way and leveling up characters.

What's more, you'll be able to see characters bond through a number of events within the game. That has yet to be seen, but we'll see how they come together in the final game.

So the real question now is when the game will release here. It has a Japanese release date of September 28th, and a European release date of October 20th across both the Nintendo Switch and Nintendo 3DS, but it doesn't currently have a U.S. release date, noted only as "fall 2017". So we'll have to wait and see when it's set to arrive.

That said, we're definitely excited. Check out the trailer above!
