We're going to be returning to the world of Fire Emblem a lot sooner than we anticipated.

Nintendo of America has confirmed that it will be releasing Fire Emblem Warriors, the latest Warriors tltle from the team at Koei Tecmo and Omega Force, for the Nintendo Switch on October 20th. That's the same release date that the game will be arriving in Europe. UPDATE: Pre-orders are now live, and Amazon Prime members can save 20% on the title.

And that also gives Nintendo a great one-two punch going into the holiday season, as the game comes out exactly one week before the big "N" releases its blockbuster Mario title, Super Mario Odyssey. That drops on October 27th.

Warriors will be available for purchase both physically and on the Nintendo eShop, for those that like their digital games. However, if you prefer the physical route, you can actually pursue a great Special Edition of the game, which comes with a number of goodies.

For $79.99, the Special Edition comes with a copy of the game, as well as a collectible box, a dual-sided poster, 25 character art cards and three music CD's. That's just $20 over the normal price, so, yeah, it definitely looks like something that fans will want to pursue. UPDATE: The Special Edition is available to pre-order at GameStop.

Nintendo announced the special edition earlier today, and you can see it in all its glory in the image below. Chances are it's going to be pretty limited, so it wouldn't hurt to check to see when retailers will be doing pre-orders for it.

This means that Nintendo will have three big releases in a span over 30 days. Along with Fire Emblem Warriors and Super Mario Odyssey, the company also has the SNES Classic Edition rarin' to go, with a release date of September 29th. And we still don't know what's happening with Xenoblade Chronicles 2 just yet, as it's slated to arrive sometime this holiday, too.

So if you're a Nintendo Switch owner, you may want to make some room in your library for this extraordinary hack and slash/adventure title. We certainly can't wait to get our hands on it, and, more importantly, blare the soundtrack on repeat around the office. This one's for the Fire Emblem fans!
