If you missed out on Defiant Development's Hand of Fate a couple of years ago, you missed out on a hell of an indie game experience. Part card playing/strategy and part hack-and-slash action, the game seamlessly blended the two together into a worthwhile adventure. And hell yes, we wanted more.

Fortunately, we'll be getting it – and much sooner than anticipated. The developer has announced today that the game will be coming out just in time for the holiday season, set to arrive on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC on November 7th.

The game will be heavily expanded over the first, with four times the content of the original, as well as a much larger amount of depth in battle, as well as new cards that can help you out.

Plus, the combat system is much smoother this time around, with a number of weapon styles available, like the ability to dual wield and use larger weapons more effectively. (Shields are also available, in case you feel like taking the defensive route.)

Along the way, you'll be able to choose from various companions that provide back stories in their own right, as they help you along the way of your journey. You'll also run into a variety of challenges, encounters and more, earning additional tokens and gear needed to survive whatever your adversary, a card-dealing madman, decides to throw your way.

We'll have more details on the game's release as the weeks go on. In the meantime, check out the trailer above, and don't miss out on your chance to play the Hand of Fate this time around!
