You can check it out right here. Buckle up:
Injustice 2 - Official Gameplay Launch Trailerby WWG
"Begin the countdown. Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and DC Entertainment today released the Injustice 2 Launch Trailer in advance of the game's release tomorrow, May 16. The hard-hitting trailer features powerful DC Super Heroes and Super-Villains battling it out in a fight to save Earth, set to an all new Steve Aoki remix of the hit 'Jungle' by X Ambassadors, Jamie N Commons.
"In Injustice 2, players will get the chance to power up and build the ultimate version of their favorite iconic DC characters and fight their way across an epic Story Mode, ever-changing Multiverse, and online multiplayer guilds – all while earning rare and valuable gear to fully customize their characters."
The trailer masterfully combines cinematic cutscenes from Injustice 2's epic story mode with gameplay, and you'll be hard-pressed to figure out which is which while watching the trailer. That's because Injustice 2 has turned out to be one of the most beautiful fighting games we've ever seen. The creative team at NetherRealm have reached their apex of expression with this game, and it's hard to believe that this isn't running on a more modern engine. It has to be the prettiest Unreal 3 game we've seen.
As you can see from the trailer, Injustice 2 will focus more acutely on Supergirl and Brainiac this time around. DC fans know that Brainiac doesn't have a very peaceful history with the house of El, and after an apocalyptic invasion of Krypton, Kara and Kal both have very personal business to settle with Brainiac, who is coming to their new home world to conquer and destroy.
What follows is a story you have to see to believe. I can't say too much about it right now because I'm still under embargo, but you'll be able to check back tonight for our full Injustice 2 review when embargo lifts at 9PM PST. Stay tuned to WWG: this is one review that you will not want to miss.
