We told you that, with less than a week to go before the launch of Injustice 2, we’re in for a torrent of leaks in the coming days. You better dig a deep hole if you want to wake up Tuesday with no story, skin, or shader spoilers, because we’re in the fast lane from here on out. Today, we have three brand new Premier Skins freshly leaked, and they’re going to delight old-school DC Comics fans.

While we know that the Injustice 2 roster has been filled out to completion with a total of 29 characters (see every single one of them right here), we’re not quite done yet. There are a few niche heroes and villains that long-time DC enthusiasts were hoping to see, and we’re absolutely delighted that NetherRealm has been working their creative muscles and bringing some of those oft-requested characters in the form of Premier Skins.
These are actually re-skins of existing characters, so their move sets will remain exactly the same, but they change the look of the characters entirely. So while Vixen or Mr. Freeze don’t have their own character slots, this is much more than armor. This is Mr. Freeze and Vixen, and the characters who they’re replacing have the perfect movesets to compliment them.
We’ve got all three of the new leaks for you right here. Keep scrolling to see your new characters.
Jay Garrick Flash
Want to see the first newly leaked Premier Skin? Want to see it again?
Here we have the original Flash, Jay Garrick. His outfit is obviously dated; he looks like an off-brand mascot you’d see on the cover of a cereal box to appeal to cartoon-loving boys. It may not look as cool as some of the suped up suits of armor that we’re seeing on our other heroes, but it does have an old-school charm and appeal to it.
We love that the original Hermes-inspired cap has carried over, but we wish they would have done something about that shirt. We’re pretty sure he’s wearing a leotard.
Vixen
This one came out of nowhere, and we think it’s a great surprise. Vixen is one of the coolest DC characters because her powers are so varied. Vixen is able to tap into the evolutionary morphogeneticย field of the earth and tap into the talents, strengths, agility, and and powers of any animal that has ever existed.
Obviously, with this skin, it looks like Vixen is going to be mainly channeling cheetahs. This works for us. Cheetah’s moveset is incredible versatile, mixing up brutal hand-to-hand combat, ferocious swipes, powerful drop kicks, and wicked grappling maneuvers.
We think Vixen is going to be a fan-favorite online, but this next skin is going to win with most DC fans…
Mr. Freeze
This is the skin we’ve been waiting for, mainly because this is the character we’ve all been waiting for. It was long-rumored that Mr. Freeze would make it into theย Injustice 2ย roster, and that never happened per se, but we’ll take a premier skin for Captain Cold.
Captain Cold’s moveset is going to transfer perfectly to Mr. Freeze. They’re basically the exact same in the way they would fight and how they would use their respective weapons, so this is a match made in heaven. Again, we’re hoping very much that these premier skins will have their own lines of dialog separate from the characters they embody, but we’ll have to wait to find out.
Skins Galore!
All three of these skins are incredible, but they have some tough competition with the Premier Skins that were revealed yesterday. If you missed it, you can find all four of the new skins and a handful of shadersย revealed yesterday in our wrap-up right here.
As a short recap, we saw Reverse Flash, our personal favorite, a grown-up version of Supergirlย in the form of Powergirl, John Stewart Green Lantern, a Grid skin for Cyborg (pictured above), and then the gods and demons shaders.ย
Now you see what we mean when we say that, even though the roster has been pretty much entirely revealed (DLC characters excepted), we’re still seeing brand new characters in the form of Premier Skins. What characters do you want to see revealed as skins next? Check out the poll below to let your voice be heard, and let’s see the fan favorite.
