Earlier this week, Electronic Arts provided a fresh new look at Star Wars: Battlefront II, with the debut of a trailer during Sony’s Paris Games Week event. But that’s not the only snippet of action we’re getting this week.

In the latest episode of The Star Wars Show, the hosts showcase an awesome yet brief clip of Kylo Ren in action, fresh from his inclusion in the upcoming film Star Wars: The Last Jedi. And, man, he looks powerful.
The footage, which can be seen in the clip above starting at the 1:50 minute mark, has Kylo utilizing his abilities to a heavy advantage, including being able to freeze soldiers in their tracks and then carving them up with his custom lightsaber, as well as a cool little golf swing-style attack that can send an enemy flying into the air. Not only that, but he also has a terrific force blast that will catapult foes, possibly hitting others as they land back on the ground. He also seems pretty good at “force jumping” as well, when it comes to getting to a lower platform.
His appearance in the game appears to be confirmed for multiplayer, but we still have yet to see if he’s involved with its single-player campaign. It’s a safe bet that he’ll show up somewhere, since the events in the campaign take place between Return of the Jedi and The Force Awakens. We’ll just have to see where he pops up โ and what kind of ties he could have with Emperor Palpatine. (Someone had to pay for all those new TIE Fighters, right?)
We’re bound to see even more footage from the game over the next couple of weeks, as we count down to Battlefront II‘s release later this month. We’ll keep you notified as to who else will be appearing in the game, as well as any additional modes that get revealed, and any potential hints in terms of the downloadable content that will be coming over the next few months.
Now, then, we need a Kylo versus Darth Maul battle!
Star Wars: Battlefront II releases on November 17th for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and Origin PC.
