It’s that time of the week, summoners! The champion and skin sales went live today, and there are some great deals for some of the more inexperienced players in the game this time around. It’s not all low skill picks, though, as a couple of this week’s picks are better suited to some of the more advanced players or, at least, will only have their full potential unlocked by a skilled player.

If you need some more junglers to add to your collection, or perhaps a pair of the hardest scaling champions in the game, then read on, and take a look at the champions that will be available during this week’s sale!

Vi

Vi might not be having the best season of her League career, but that doesn’t mean that she isn’t still a powerhouse in the right hands. Vi is the perfect pick for doing one thing over and over: ganking the middle lane. Assault and Battery almost guarentees a kill on the squishy mages that frequent the mid lane, and if you want to be effective on Vi then you’ll need to exploit that fact in order to break the map open. Take care against some of the stronger tanks out from the jungle, however, as their disruptive power can easily isolate you in teamfights if you overexxtend too far on Vi, which is something that most Vi players seem all to happy to do. Don’t be like them.

Kog’Maw

Kog’Maw has been sitting near the top of the ADC win rate list for quite some time now, and with good reason. Not only is he the ultimate late game carry thanks to his range and percentage damage, he’s also able to take over teamfights fairly early on in the game once he completes only a couple items. A Kog’Maw pick fundamentally changes the game in a way that even a Vayne could not, as the game instantly becomes a question of whether your team can keep the Kog’maw down, and whether you can dive him sufficiently in fights later on. In solo queue, where team compositions aren’t exactlypremeditated, the answer to both those question are often no, making Kog’Maw quite the powerhouse. Just watch out for Twitch!

Kassadin

Kassadin is perhaps one of the most meta-dependant champions in the entire game. When the right champions are popular, he’s among the most oppressive champions in the game, as he’s almost impossible to stop if he can survive his laning phase easily. When the game is full of Talons and Jayces, however, Kassadin is absolutely terrible. Right now the AD assassins have largely fallen out of favor and have been replaced by champions like LeBlanc, who Kassadin outright smashes, and Orianna, which is a skill matchup for the Kassadin. As such, Kassadin has been making a bit of a comeback lately, so if unparalleled mobility is your thing, then pick up Kassadin today and give him a test drive!

For the more low elo players in the League, have we got a jungler for you. XIn Zhao has everything that a beginning jungler could ask for. He brings carry potential to the table as well as strong ganking — at least against weaker players — and, perhaps most importantly, amazing sustain. Xin Zhao is one of the few champions in the game that can easily complete a jungle clear with no runes or masteries and come out healthy, all thanks to his Battle Cry’s sustain. If you’re new to jungling or if you find yourself getting autofilled into jungle more often than you’d like, pick up Xin Zhao and learn a thing or two today!
