A new League of Legends teaser video has been released for the upcoming champion, Kayn, and the champ preview demonstrates the two possible outcomes that the assassin jungler has in each of his games.

Carrying that Darkin scythe around everywhere must've been a pretty good workout for Kayn, because it's apparent from the beginning of the video that Kayn might be looking to give Ezreal and Taric a run for their money with how jacked he is. Physique aside, the video focuses on the two evolutions that Kayn can choose from: He can either control the Darkinscythe, Rhaast, and harness its power in his Shadow Assassin form, or he can succumb to Rhaast's power and go full Darkin.

Aside from the transformations that the jungler can achieve, the animation also shows off a couple more abilities in action. His E, Shadow Step, allows him to step through walls for a brief period, a tactic that he uses in-game, in his lore, and here in the video as he sneaks up on Ashe while he's in his Shadow Assassin transformation, a form that grants him bonus movement speed and immunity to slows when using his Shadow Step. His ultimate, Umbral Trespass, also gets used on Sion in the teaser as he explodes from the undead Noxian's chest. His ultimate gives him different advantages in-game as well depending on which final transformation he takes. If he opts for the Shadow Assassin form, he'll be able to cast the ability from farther away and will do bonus magic damage, and if he uses it in his Darkin form like he does in the video, he'll deal damage based on the enemies max health and will heal himself in the process.

What's always interesting in these videos is the champions that are chosen to share the teaser space with whatever champ is being featured. Kayn's obviously the focus of this piece, but his lore ties into it as well, except maybe for Ashe being in the opening. We know that Kayn has ties to Noxus, but it's unclear what The Frost Archer did to upset Kayn. However, Sion and Darius are most definitely related to Kayn; the assassin was born in Noxus, was later trained by Zed, and he now seeks to lead the Order of the Shadow against Noxus.

A Kayn vs. Noxus with maybe some Frejlord elements thrown in there certainly sounds like the beginnings of an event or set of missions upon Kayn's release, but there's no word yet as to if that's the plan.
