League of Legends Players Get to Choose the Next Illaoi Skin

Illaoi mains’ hope for a new skin has increased with every passing skin reveal that wasn’t for the tanky top laner, but a new skin is finally on the way, and players have the power to pick which one she gets.

It’s been quite a while since The Kraken Priestess received a new skin – her only current cosmetic option being the Void Bringer Illaoi skin that was released on Nov. 24, 2015, the day that the champion was released – so she’s certainly past due for one. There are three options available to pick from to decide what the champ’s next skin will be, but there’s sadly no Dunkmaster skin to be found.

The Three Choices

The three options that players have to choose from for Illaoi include a Battlecast, Adventurer, or Deep Space skin.

While all of the skins look like they’d be perfect fits for the champion, it ultimately comes down to which skin players vote for the most. The Deep Space and the Adventurer are both new and creative options that find perfect ways to incorporate her ground-smashing tentacles while the Battlecast skin is a safe option, a tried and true formula that always looks impressive.

Illaoi Mains Voice Their Opinions

Within the Illaoi mains subreddit, players are trying to decide which skin they think their main champ should get, though not everyone is pleased with the fact that the voting is open to everyone.

A poll was already created within a short time after the announcement that’s amassed just over 100 votes, and it looks like Deep Space is taking the lead. Those sounding off on the subreddit have mentioned all three at times, but Deep Space Illaoi seems to show up in conversations quite a bit.

But as you might expect, some aren’t happy that others get to vote for their champion’s skin. It’s a response that could be heard from any champion main group, but one post in particular suggested that a mastery check should be in place for situations like these. Most don’t seem to have a problem with it though since everyone’s going to be seeing the skin even if you don’t play as her, so with every main and non-main casting their vote, Illaoi will hopefully get the skin that fits her best.
