Within the trailer, players can see tons of iconic locations from the world of Marvel that are all ripped out of their respective settings and dropped in one easily accessible area. Players will be tasked with traveling through many of these levels as they control their favorite superheroes while hunting down Kang the Conqueror.
Below is a description that was listed with the trailer that highlights some of the recognizable locations players will visit:
Lego Marvel Super Heroes 2 is an all-new, epic adventure and sequel to the smash hit, LEGO Marvel Super Heroes. This original branching storyline, co-written by comic book veteran Kurt Busiek, transports players into a cosmic battle across a myriad of Marvel locations ripped from time and space into the incredible open hub world of Chronopolis. Packed with signature LEGO humor for fans of all ages, gamers will go head-to-head with the time-travelling Kang the Conqueror through Ancient Egypt, The Old West, Sakaar, New York City in 2099 and many other Marvel settings.
Last month, it was revealed that Kang would be building upon Chronopolis by pulling these Marvel locations together himself. Kang’s Citadel, Asgard, and Black Panther’s home of Wakanda are just some of the unique settings that are previewed in the trailer.
As far as the known superheroes are concerned, Lego Marvel Super Heroes 2 already has a slew of confirmed appearances so far, but the trailer gives even more sneak peeks at additional characters. Adam Warlock, Man-Thing, Black Bolt, Maestro, Venom, and many more can all be seen in the trailer in all of the LEGO wonder.
In addition to the main story, the LEGO game will also have a brand new battle mode that will allow friends to play against each other in different themed challenges within special battle arenas.
Lego Marvel Super Heroes 2 is scheduled for a November 17th release on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
